Editor's note: Marjorie was one of the people that RHS
alumni Web site editor, Helen Gunderson, interviewed
for her documentary
project, The Road I Grew Up On. In the 1940s, the George family
lived and
farmed a mile from the Gunderson family, and Marjorie was one of the
babysitters for Helen, her sister, Clara, and brother, Charles. To read more about
Marjorie, go to the
chapter about the first farm along Helen's road. The part about
Marjorie's family begins
on page one and continues on page 14 of the PDF file.
We have posted a large portion of an
interview with Marjorie. She begins by telling about the farm where she
grew up southwest of Rolfe. Four short pieces have already been part of
the RHS Web site audio
gallery.
