JERRY L. LOSS Jerry L. Loss - age 57, passed away on July 1, 2009, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital. Jerry Lee Loss was born on January 10, 1952, at Fort Dodge. He was the son of John and Inez (Opheim) Loss. Jerry graduated from Rolfe High School in 1970, and attended Iowa State University. On June 18, 1973, Jerry married Barbara Knowles. The couple made their home in Laurens. Jerry worked as a machinist at various manufacturing plants in Laurens. Jerry enjoyed fishing, playing cards and playing his guitar in his spare time. Survivors include his children: Jason Loss of Emmetsburg, Jennifer (Chad) Trees of Spencer, Amanda (Joe) Billings of Havelock and Ryan Loss of Waverly; mother: Inez Loss of Rolfe; seven grandchildren; sisters: Janis Hanson of Pocahontas and Joann Grove on Minnetonka, MN and brother, Larry (Deb) Loss of Westminster, CO.
