WILLIAM A. BUSKE Manson - William A. Buske, 89, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at the Pomeroy Care Center. Services were held Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, rural Palmer, with the Rev. Richard Taylor officiating. Survivors include his wife, Adeline; daughter Betty Pillman and her husband Gary of Zearing, Iowa; grandchildren. Nathan and Sarah Pillman of Zearing; brothers, Earl Buske of Humboldt, Iowa, Richard Buske of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Ervin Buske of Gowrie, Iowa sisters, Anna Hoist of Lyle, Minnesota, Irene Dirks and Ida Schoon, both of Manson, Iowa, Margie Schachtner of Belvedere, Illinois, Luella Ruby of Otho, Iowa, and Darlene Thompson of Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilhelm and Ida Julius Buske; son, Dwayne In l975; sisters, Anna Louise Buske and Edna Bunting; and brothers. Gerd, Henry, Arthur, and Fred. William Alfred Buske was born July 22, 1912, in Lake Township, Pocahontas County, Iowa. He received his education in country schools in that area. He married Adeline Engel on September 1, 1940, at Fargo, North Dakota, at Olivet Lutheran Church and the couple lived on various farms In Iowa until buying a farm north of Rolfe where they lived for 45 years. In addition to farming, they made and sold figurines and went to farmers markets with produce. They moved into Manson in 1995 and he entered the Pomeroy Care Center in May 2001.
