ADELINE BUSKE MANSON - Adeline Buske, 88, went to be with her Lord, Jesus, on Feb. 28, 2009, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. Funeral services will be held on Wed. Mar. 4, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Palmer, with Pastor Dennis Niles officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Lizard Twp. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday March 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson is in charge of arrangements. Adeline was born on Aug. 19, 1920, to Edwin and Emma (Mergenthal) Engel at Hillsboro, N.D. During the late 1930's she graduated from beauty school and worked as a beautician in Fargo until she married William Buske, Jr. on Sept. 1, 1940, at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo, N.D. They lived on various farms in Iowa until buying a farm north of Rolfe where they lived for 45 years. Together they farmed, enjoyed gardening, and visiting their two children Dwayne and Betty. After retiring, they moved to Manson in 1995, where Adeline continued to live an active life of gardening, quilting, scrapbooking, reading, baking, and travelling. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a special love of her church, and entertaining friends and family. Adeline is survived by her daughter, Betty (Gary) Pillman of Zearing; grandchildren Nathan Pillman of Ames and Sarah Pillman of Zearing. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; her son, Dwayne; and four sisters.
