From about 1972 to 1973, Helen Gunderson filmed Super8 movies in Rolfe and the nearby area. Then in February 2012, she made this 10-minute YouTube video, editing digital transfers of the footage and adding music that Emily Anderson had already created for other videos that Helen produced in past years.

There are scenes of Rolfe's highly successful girls basketball, homecoming parades, the public swimming pool, and a bit of other fun. he original footage is part of her collection at the Iowa State University Special Collections Department on the 4th floor of Parks Library on the ISU campus in Ames, Iowa.

Helen is a fourth-generation native of the Rolfe area, graduating from RHS in 1963, and currently lives in Ames, Iowa. Emily was a teacher, then a school board member in Rolfe.
