newspaper obituary DELORES WAGNER ROLFE — Delores K. Wagner, 62, of rural Rolfe, died on Feb. 10, at the Rolfe Care Center. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Rolfe with Fr. Merle Kollasch officiating. Burial is in St. Margaret’s Catholic Cemetery in Rolfe. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12, at the Powers Funeral Home in Rolfe. Parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Delores Kathryn Dugan was born on September 21, 1944, at Fort Dodge. She was the daughter of Faber and Emma (Salmon) Dugan. Delores was raised and educated in the Humboldt area. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1962. She also attended the Stewart School of Cosmetology in Sioux City. On April 25, 1964, Delores married Dennis Wagner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. The couple has spent their entire married life on their farm near Rolfe. Delores operated a beauty shop out of her home for several years. In the late 1980s, she began having health problems and was later diagnosed with Picks Disease. Because of the progression of her disease, Delores entered the Rolfe Care Center in March of 2000. Delores was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She had also been a member of the Pocahontas Athletics Booster Club. Delores enjoyed playing cards, tending her garden, cooking, baking and just spending time outdoors. Survivors include her husband: Denny; children: Bob (Sherri) Wagner, of Rolfe; DeAnn (Chris) Decker, of Ankeny and Nicki (Geoff) Lamb, of Ankeny; eight grandchildren and sisters, Dottie (Darrell) Rusher, of Humboldt, and Mary Jo (Rich) Kohlhaas, of Livermore. Delores was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James. |
