FRANCES M. STEFFEN Rolfe - Frances M. Steffen, age 61, died on November 9, 2003, at Humboldt, Iowa. Funeral services were at Shared Ministry in Rolfe at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, with Rev. Tamara EnTin officiating. Frances Marie Spurling was born on November 28, 1941,' at Fonda. She was the daughter of James and Hazel (Peppel) Spurling. Frances was educated in Fonda schools. On August 26, 1958, she married Harold Schnetter at Fort Dodge. The couple made their home in Fonda. On December 21, 1964, she married Raymond Boeckholt at Humboldt. They lived in Rolfe. Raymond died in 1968. On June 9, 1972, Frances married Tom Steffen at Webster City. The couple made their home in Rolfe. Frances had worked at various jobs in Fonda and Storm Lake areas. Frances was a member of the Presbyterian Church, now the Shared Ministry. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters; Mary (Terry) Dahl of Rutland and Rhonda Steffen of Rolfe; sons, Harold (Deb) Schnetter of Bradgate, Charles "Boney" Schnetter of Rolfe, Joe (Diana) Schnetter of Rolfe and Raymond (Kelly) Boeckholt of Rolfe: 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; longtime companion George Risdall of Rolfe; sister Betty (Gary) Larson of Rolfe; and brothers, James (Lois) Spurling of Muscatine and Chuck (Peggy) Spurling of Livermore. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray Boeckholt; grandson Brandon; great-granddaughter Daetoria; sister Rose Guerttman; and brothers, George and Bob.
