HAROLD R. SHELGREN

Harold Robert Shelgren, 80, died Sunday, February 4, 2001. Interment will be in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe, at a later date.

Survivors include his wife Catherine Munch Shelgren; daughter Mary Beth Becker (Thomas), Jacksonville, Florida; son Harold Robert Shelgren, Jr. (Roxy), Niceville, Florida; five grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, and Christopher Becker, Sarah and Stephen Shelgen; sisters, June Vaughan, Joan Allen and Jane Diamond; and brothers, James, Virgil and John Shelgren.

Harold Robert Shelgren was born in Gilmore City and lived in Fruitland Park, Florida, and Grand Haven, Michigan. He served with the 8th Army Air Corp as a navigator on the B17 during World War 11 and was a POW for the last 6 months of the war. He was a Purple Heart recipient and a Disabled Veteran. He retired after 30 years of service with Wolverine Pipe Line.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Bob Shelgren was a 1938 graduate of Rolfe High School.
