DORIS SHARP

Ames — Doris Sharp, age 90, of Ames, formerly of Rolfe, passed away on June 30. 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2008 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Todd Jenks officiating. Burial will be at Clinton-Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe. Adams Funeral Home in Ames is in charge of the arrangements.

Doris was born in Rolfe to B.C. and Martha Idella (Twig) Budolfson.

She married Raymond Sharp on June 27, 1938 in Rolfe. She was a farm wife and also a teacher’s aide in Eagle Grove Community School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge. She served on the Webster County Board of Extension. She taught Sunday school; enjoyed playing bridge, was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining.

Survivors include her children, Janice Sharp of Ottawa, Illinois, Jerald Sharp of Grand Lake, Colorado, and Joan Ingwersen. of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Bruce Sharp of Omaha, Nebraska, Lisa Burns of Tucson, Arizona., Darren Sharp of Olathe, Kansas, and Bit Ingwersen of Atlanta, Georgia, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward Budolfson, Christian Budolfson, and Albert Budolfson; and one sister, Marie Budolfson.
