LEONARD “TINY” RIPPERGER

ROLFE — Leonard “Tiny” Ripperger, 80, died on Nov. 25, 2007 at this home near Rolfe, Iowa.

Graveside committal services were held 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at the Clinton-Garfield Cemetery at Rolfe with Rev. Wally Paige officiating. Powers Funeral Home in Rolfe is handling arrangements.

Leonard Anthony Ripperger was born on Dec. 23, 1926, near Rolfe. He was the son of Leonard and Minnie (Hagedorn) Ripperger. Tiny was educated in Rolfe area schools and graduated from DMT High School in 1946. After school, he farmed with his dad. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II. After his discharge, he returned to Rolfe and has farmed there ever since. He semi retired in 1988.

Tiny was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. Tiny loved being a farmer and especially enjoyed taking care of his cattle.

Survivors include his sister, Meraim Zeman of Humboldt and several nieces and nephews.

Tiny was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Frances White, and brothers, Theo and Elroy.
