DIXIE LEE MURRAY REA

Rolfe -- Dixie Lee Murray Rea, age 66, of Rolfe, died Monday. April 22, 2002, at the Rolfe Care Center In Rolfe.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Turner Funeral Home, Spirit Lake, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville.

Survivors include mother, Laila S. Schroeder of Milford; sons, John (wife Sherry) Poss of Rolfe, and Craig (wife Patti) Poss of Milford; aunt Harriet Elliot of Forest City; daughter-in-law Darlene Poss of Rolfe; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry L. Murray and Joseph Dean Rea, son Larry L. Poss and daughter, Georgia Ann Poss.

Dixie Lee Murray Rea was born September 19, 1935, in Bode, Iowa, the daughter of Norman Weiland and Laila S. Rongved Schroeder. She was retired. She had lived in the Iowa Great Lakes area until moving to Rolfe in 1995. Her interests included music, needle crafts, socializing with family and friends, fix-it shows, and a deep abiding love of God.

She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. V. F. W. Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary.
