JUDITH A. PETERSON

Rolfe -- Judy Peterson, age 67, died on June 19, 2003, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rolfe with Rev. David Peterson officiating. Interment was in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil of Rolfe; daughters, Vicky Lockman of Fort Dodge and Shelley (Chris) Armstrong of Richland; grandchildren, Brooke, Bradley and Jenna Cejka, Johanna Peterson and Abigail Armstrong; sister Shirley (Art) Smith of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Judith Ann Isacson was born on April 25, 1936, at Emmetsburg. She was the daughter of Raymond and Eunice (Monkelien) Isacson. Judy was educated at D.M.T. schools, graduating from D.M.T. High School in 1954. On September 18, 1955, Judy married Virgil Peterson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rolfe. The couple has made their home in Rolfe since then. Judy worked as a telephone operator in Rolfe and later as the sports writer for the Rolfe Arrow. For the past few years, Judy has worked at the Rolfe Care Center.

Judy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and her church circle. She belonged to the V.F.W. Auxiliary and was on the Lutheran Brotherhood board in Pocahontas County. Judy enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and was a Hawkeye fan. She especially loved to take care of her family.
