GOLDIE MARIE LUFT

HUMBOLDT - Goldie Marie Luft, 98, of Emporia, Kansas, formerly of Humboldt and Rolfe, died on September 6, 2010 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Humboldt with Fr. Jim Tigges officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret's Catholic Cemetery, Rolfe. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt with a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Goldie Marie Mishler, the daughter of Frank and Molly Mishler, was born March 6, 1912 at Havelock, IA. She graduated from RHS in 1930 and married Roy Luft on October 12, 1935 at Rolfe. He has preceded her in death.

Mrs. Luft was an elementary school teacher and gave private organ and piano lessons. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Humboldt, the Church's Women's League, VFW Auxiliary 7709 of Rolfe, served on many boards in Pocahontas County such as, Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Multi-County Board, Cancer Board, President of Concerned Citizens, VFW, and Pink Ladies at Rolfe Nursing Home.

Mrs. Luft is survived by a daughter Myrna and her husband Steve Jensen of Emporia; a son Tony Luft and his wife Jody of Humboldt; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Fritz of Nebraska City, Nebraska; a sister Roszella Engel of Cheney, Kansas.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Luft; brother, Lonnie Mishler; and a granddaughter Angela Luft.
