DONALD R. KAUFFMAN

Emmetsburg — Don R. Kauffman passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at the Emmetsburg Care Center. A Mass of Christian

Burial was 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery.

Donald Ralph Kauffman was born September 2, 1933, in Rolfe to Ralph arid Leona (Wilcox) Kauffman. He was a graduate of Des Moines Township High School, Rolfe. Don was united in marriage to Patricia Domek on May 2, 1953, in Emmetsburg. The couple farmed near Emmetsburg for many years until retiring in 1999. Don was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time talking about Emmetsburg football and wrestling, and Don loved to be with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia of Emmetsburg; children, Gary (Karen) of Emmetsburg. Deb (Rodney) Watson of Iowa City, Jim (Vicki) of Brownsdale, Minn., Kevin of Smithville, Mo., Dan and Bev of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and Bob and Julie of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard L. Kauffman.
