obituary from newspaper THELMA HAM Rolfe — Thelma L. Ham, 82. of Rolfe. died Wednesday, August 28, 2002, at the Palo Alto County Hospital In Emmetsburg. Funeral services were 1030 a.m. Saturday, August 31, at the Shared Ministry in Rolfe, with the Rev. Tamara EnTin officiating. Burial was in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery near Rolfe. Survivors Include husband Eldon Ham of Rolfe; children, George (Alice) Ham of Manhattan, Kansas. Carole (Butch) McFarlin of Des Moines, Linda (Gaylen) Larsen of Bradgate, Susan (Russell) Hitchcock of Spencer. and Thomas (Joni) Ham of Rolfe12 grandchildrenand 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded In death by her parents; brothers, William Cran and Donald Cran; sisters, Dorothy Youngblood and Marge Dickey; and grandson Matthew McFarlin. Thelma Lucille Cran was born March 24, 1920, In Wacousta Township near Bradgate. She was the daughter of William and Grace (Boothroyd) Cran. She grew up In the Bradgate area and graduated from Bradgate High School in 1937. On July 23, 1938, Thelma married Eldon Henry Ham at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple lived In Des Moines Township near Rolfe all of their 64 years of married life. Thelma was a member of the Rolfe Shared Ministry, P.T.A., Lucky 13 Card Club, Rural Women’s Club, A. L. D. Club, Rebekah Lodge, Methodist Women’s Circle and United Methodist Women. She was a 4-H leader for several years |
