MARSHALL B. FARLEY 30 December 1933 - 12 January 2003, age 69 Mr. Farley was on the Rolfe Faculty from 1969 to 1984. He served in various positions as history teacher, athletic director and principal. He also worked managing the initial summers of the Rolfe Pool which was constructed in 1970. He and his wife Sue also ran a hardware store in Rolfe during part of this time. Mr. Farley then served as principal at Dexfield, Iowa until 1988 when he and his wife moved to Dallas, Texas where he was a supervisor at ACSS Security Co. until 1998. He worked for a time at Microsoft as an Operations Administrator. Mr. Farley died in January 2003 of cancer. His daughter Kim Murphy writes that their time in Rolfe was "some of the best year's of [her] family's life." Kim graduated from Rolfe High School and is married to Patrick Murphy with two children Charlie and Kelsey.
